Hartland Stainless Steel Fan Isolator
Hamilton Hartland Satin Stainless Steel Triple Pole Fan Isolator Switch with White Inserts
A 3 pole isolator switch is most commonly used to disconnect an extractor fan, or timer fan from the lighting circuit. This is to allow for maintenance on the fan while still being able to use the light to work from. This is not only helpful to aid visibility, especially in a bathroom that has no window, but also a safety factor. No-one wants to remove a fan that is still live.
The Hamilton Hartland satin steel triple pole isolator is designed not only to be fully in keeping with the rest of the Hartland range with its brushed stainless steel front plate and black inserts but also a fully functioning safety switch. The 74TPWH-W has connections for the switched live, constant live and neutral wires on the back, disconnecting all of them when in the off position and rendering the fan completely isolated from all power sources. Not to be confused with a control switch, the 74TPWH-W will not engage the timer sequence of your fan, that is done from the switched live connection in the lighting circuit.
As with all Hamilton ranges, the Hartland Satin Steel is an extensive family, incorporating everything from plug sockets and telephone points to shaver sockets, satellite and fused connection units. If there is something out of the ordinary you require, it's bound to be available in the modular ranges so with the matching Euro and Grid plates you can be sure that all your satin steel switchgear is coordinated and complimenting your home.
