Wylex 36 Way Duplex Flexible High Integrity Metal Consumer Unit

High Integrity consumer units give far greater flexibility in wiring configuration than standard consumer units.

As a 'double banked' duplex consumer unit the top bank has 100A main switch, an 80a 30ma RCD and 17, completely configurable usable ways. This means any number of MCBs may be protected by the RCD.
The lower bank has an 80a 30ma RCD and 19 usable ways. Incorporated in the board are multi-terminal dual earth and neutral bars. They are designed for ease of installation and have ample wiring space.

This large consumer unit is fully 17th edition and Amendment 3 compliant and designed for use in large domestic installations or small industrial environments. The 36 way NMDRS36SSLHIA is constructed from heavy gauge steel and rust protected giving excellent resiliance to both weathering and mechanical damage.

From January 2016 it will be compulsory for all new consumer unit installations to be made from fire retardant/non combustible materials, ie metal.
In order to comply with these changes Wylex has released a full range of metal consumer units to meet the requirements of Amendment 3 and 17th Edition. Every part of the casing from the hinges through to the mounting brackets are made from metal. The covers are all hinged from the top ensuring the the unit is always closed so to limit any potential spread of fire.
All in all, Wylex has done a massive amount of work to ensure they have produced the highest quality and compliant products that will stand the test of time.
