Electrical Industry Awards 2007

Held at the Grosvenor Square Marriott, London, and now in their 15th year, Thursday night's prestigious Electrical Industry Awards played host to the glitterati and principal players of the UK electrical industry.

Compered by Paul Ross, brother of Johnathan, and Mapara Syed, assistant editor and chief correspondent of The Electrical Times, the awards recognise the achievements of the top performers in the UK, facilitating better working practices and customer service.

Categories included, Energy Efficiency Initiative of the Year, Best Customer Service, Electrical Contractor of the Year, and of course, Electrical Wholesaler of the Year.

As the only independent electrical wholesaler in the final, Gil-lec were pitted against the two biggest national electrical wholesalers in the country, WF and Edmundson, this year, in the form of EPH. Gil-lec's guests included MK supremo Graham Foskett, boss of Aurora Lighting Kevin Bell and Vent Axia's chairman Kevin Sargeant.

Regrettably, Gil-lec were not crowned winners, but are none-the-less proud to be considered among the top three, and congratulate Edmundson on their achievement.

As a company driven by the desire to offer an unparalleled customer experience, Gil-lec will continue to build on this success, with the aim of earning the title best electrical wholesaler in 2008.
