Gil-lec as a local Independent electrical distributor are a nominated stockist franchise for all the products available from Cooper Lighting and Security. This franchise has been in place and maintained by Gil-lec over the past 15 years during many years of change in Cooper Industries.
The loyalty from Gil-lec to Cooper Lighting and Security has helped us to build and strengthen the relationship between our businesses to such an extent that we work as true partners. This partnership allows us time to build value into the relationship and acts as a platform for great development through our mutual customers, including Electrical Contractors.
The requirement for challenging and technically complex solutions encompassing, design, installation and commissioning of Lighting, Fire Alarm and Emergency systems coupled with significant changes in legislation, highlights the need for ongoing training and support throughout the industry. Together with Gil-lec we are running an ongoing program of training on "LG7"- Lighting for office solutions - "Part L" - a mandatory regulation regarding the lighting power being consumed by the installation - "The Fire Safety Order" - regarding the changes in Fire Alarm Regulations from October 1st 2006. To highlight these changes we often complete these seminars either at our factory or in local surroundings through "Trade Days".
In conjunction with these agreed initiatives we will also work locally with Gil-lec's electrical contracting customers, providing site visits and surveys to ensure compliance to all the latest regulations when solutions are quite difficult, or require some specialist input.
The loyalty and camaraderie of Gil-lec's customers is evident during the social events that we stage together and not only does the relationship blossom and grow - it becomes well humoured and good fun.
